Terry Manning showed up in Memphis for two nights of Mid-South Coliseum's Widespread Panic shows.
Manning, music producer and engineer, worked with the band on their latest endeavor, Earth To America at his Compass Point studios in Nassau, Bahamas.
While in Memphis Terry took some time to visit the Stax Museum of American Soul Music which he helped establish in the 60's and 70's. Terry, at one time, had an office in their famous building at 926 East MacLemore (now the site of the Stax Museum).
Terry has worked as a producer and engineer with numerous artists and has helped create some of the all-time greatest albums including:
Led Zeppelin, "Led Zeppelin III"
ZZ Top, "Fandango"
James Taylor, "Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon"
Lenny Kravitz, "5"
Shakira, "Laundry Service"
Al Green, "Don't Look Back"
George Thorogood & the Destroyers, "Maverick."
We can include "Earth To America" to that list.
